Start of multilingual (<-no way thats a word) kyle

So I'm going to start this off by being very honest! I don't really want type very much. Ive had a really really long day and would honestly rather be sleeping. But I hate being in my room so i know if i dont do this now! it will never get done.
So anyway The last 2 days have been amazing! I couldnt rightfully put it into words but Its just been amazing. I wont go into too much detail at the moment , but its been great. Ive met people from Uzbek, korea, thailand, denmark, Australia, china, japan, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and even the states. And seeing as today isnt even remotely the last day that people will be moving in, i see many more on the horizon.
As for the Japanese conversation, it didn't really happen 2 days ago when i first arrived, and to be honest not too much yesterday either (its 1am and i hate saying yesterday when it was a few minutes ago but what ever). But the end of today the japanese kind of exploded out of me. When you first get here there is a shyness that comes with japanese, like you dont want to be wrong so you dont really speak it and if you do only a few words. But during a very bilingual conversation with a girl from china 2 boys also from china , a korean from guatamala, 3 uzbek kids it really happened. Maybe it was talking to jon one of the kids from uzbek from japan , maybe it was to tamira the girl from china who spoke mostly in japanese, but the japanese shy part of me died a little more today and I am very happy :)
Anyway Im tired and actually abit hungry so i think im going to sleep off the hunger. So i guess Until the next time i decide to sit and type for a while. またね

The day of Reckoning

Today is finally the day! :D Even though by the time that I started writing this blog post it is well past the beginning of the day. The Idea is no less exciting! The day started off as Everyone would assume it would, I ran around getting everything together all over the house making sure that nothing at all was left out. I had to be sure I got everything, so naturally when we arrived at the airport I was quite confident that I had it all. After about 20 minutes of good bye and getting our tickets, we finally got through security 10 minutes later. Then settling down to the seats at the gate I looked through my bag and found the following things missing (of course). I will list them in order of importance. 1. My wallet… YES FOLKS I FORGOT MY WALLET! : D it’s ok though because its turns out I don’t really need it for a few days and its being shipped to me as I speak, 2. my camera... Luckily this one was handled before it became a problem; my dad has his camera so we will just use that for now, and lastly 3. My headphones… again being shipped but its disappointing; _;. Anyway it’s not all bad news I guess. They flight to Chicago went smooth and by smooth I mean SMOOTH! Smoothest flight I’ve been on in a while.

So now I’m about to board the plane for Tokyo, And I guess about 3000 hours from now I will write the rest of this, and even though it won’t keep anyone on the edge waiting for what I’ve got to say next. It will keep me on the edge! So until I write the rest of this. To be continued….

Soooo half my life later, we finally arrived in tokyo! let me just say that everything around here Looks and feels exactly the way that I remember it and I couldn't be happier :D On the plane we were sitting next to some women who was going to Japan to see her son or nephew get married. It was pretty nice talking to her at some points during the flight :) But the flight wasn't all marry making and fun, for on that plane there was treachery afoot. Treachery in the form of a flight attendant. For the 5th time in a row! I've had the same flight attendant on the flight halfway across the world. The same smiling cheery flight attendant who at times looks a bit spastic. But behind that smile something evil lurks!! You can see it in her eyes, no Women can be that happy and the fact that shes on every flight ive ever been to going to or coming from japan just makes her All the more suspicious. Until next time I will keep my eyes open and sleep with one open at all times.. you can never be too careful!

Anyway the rest of the flight was all sleeping and watching the A-team ending about 12 times. So then we landed. You know that guy at the airport that is always holding things up? cant seem to get his belt off at the security line, doesn't have his papers filled out for customs completely, Cant get his bag out of the over head compartment? WELL THATS MY DAD :D The man is just all around slow when it comes to getting through an airport. But if you saw him walking around one you wouldn't know it. THE MAN IS QUICK. hes like a stubby flash! D: Its hard to keep up some times.

But enough making fun of dad for now. Im in the hotel room now in tokyo and Im sippin on some fine poccari sweat and just had a grilled salmon onigiri... life is good :) Sadly they only had cal pis soda and not regular cal pis here and there is no store for forever around, so pocari will have to do for now. But its more then good enough ;)

Anyways! thats pretty much all thats happened today .. and yesterday. If anything else happens I'll be sure to ya know... say something But i don't think i will be doing much besides sitting around on the computer and sleeping (this hotel is nowhere close to anything besides the airport ;_;)

So until next time! which will probably be tomorrow :P

Getting to know you getting to know all about you...

Hello there everyone! My name is Kyle and I will be your guide through the wonderful world of College life In japan.
To start I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Kyle Post. I recently graduated high school and will be going to Japan in September to attend Ritsumeikan Asian Pacific University, in Beppu, Oita. I will be there for 4 years as a student of the business school.
I guess I decided to make this blog a while before I actually got accepted. After many Failed attempts at making blogs, due to the fact that I had nothing to talk about besides myself. I made this one. In this blog I'll be doing several things. First and foremost is telling you, the reader, what it's like to go to a school for 4 years as a foreigner to that country. But also I will be doing other things, such as tips and tricks for surviving, making friends, and learning japanese! Oh yeah and i'll be telling about all the funny and interesting stories that happen to me while over there... but who cares about that :P
anyway thats that :) I hope that anyone who reads this will become well informed or at least have a lot of fun reading it! Also feel free to add me on Facebook or Skype and possibly twitter in the future :) (all Kyle James Post)
